Living and Giving in Christ: Unity through Diocesan Ministry
The Diocese of Cheyenne was divided from the Diocese of Omaha and erected as its own diocese on August 9, 1887. Wyoming had been established as its own territory on July 25, 1868, nine years earlier, and then received statehood on July 10, 1890, three years later. The presence of the Catholic Church in Wyoming has been here since from the beginnings of our State. This coming August 9 marks the 125th anniversary of our Diocese. This year is also the 50th anniversary of convocation of the Second Vatican Council. There will be special Masses celebrating these events at Holy Rosary Parish in Lander on October 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm and at St. Patrick’s Parish in Casper on October 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
As we anticipate this 125th Anniversary, we begin our annual appeal Living and Giving in Christ: Unity Through Diocesan Ministry. Our annual commitment helps support the things that we cannot do as an individual parish, like supporting the Bishop and his ministry, the Tribunal which addressed the validity of prior marriages, the Pastoral Ministries Office which provides assistance to our faith formation, youth and sacramental preparation programs, and Catholic Charities which provides pregnancy counseling and adoption services. The Living and Giving in Christ supports the infrastructure behind the parish, much like the gas, water and electrical lines which support our homes.
This year a DVD video has been sent to each registered Catholic household. If you didn’t get one, there are extra in the vestibule. You can also view it here:
Every family is invited to help support the valuable ministries of the Diocese which help us a parish to function. We encourage sacrificial giving and giving proportionally. When we tithe, we give 10% of our income: 5% to the parish, 2% to Living and Giving in Christ, and 3% to other charities and second collections. We also give alms in addition to our tithe. Please prayerfully consider your donation to Living and Giving in Christ. Every gift, no matter how small, is important. Our goal is $86,306.49 , an amount we can easily surpass. Pledge evelopes are available in the vestibule of the church, and so are extra DVDs. The telephone part of the campaign begins Monday, May 21. Thank you for your generosity.

Welcome to Holy Trinity!
We are a Catholic parish of the Diocese of Cheyenne, nestled in a residential neighborhood just off of East Lincolnway, Converse Avenue and Pershing Boulevard, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Many opportunities are offered to young and old alike. We have a vibrant youth ministry program (preschool through high school), which includes faith formation, sacramental preparation, social activities and service projects. At three weekend Masses, we have Children's Liturgy of the Word. We have a dynamic adult program, which also includes faith formation, sacramental preparation, social activities and service projects. In addition to our Sunday, Holy Day, and Weekday Masses, we have daily adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Holy Trinity is truly a parish open to all, grounded in prayer and a messenger of the Gospel. We invite you to tour our website and see the many and varied opportunities we have to offer you, and to come join our parish family in prayer and as messengers of the Gospel.
